Worst Things that Could Happen on a Trip!

Have you ever wondered what's the worst that could happen to you when travelling?
We travellers, in order to prevent this from happening, went beyond all the wondering and made a list with all the worst case scenarios one may live on a trip!
  • Lose your flight or have a long delay or even have it cancelled; under this category you will find flight cancellations when you don't have a single penny to pay for another one. Imagine that happening when you need to return to your homeland after a long yet expensive trip.
  • Have your luggage with all the important staff you are going to need lost (by the Airlines Company or not), forgotten somewhere or robbed!
  • Get in a car accident in your rented car with all the possible collateral damage such as injuries, hospitals, police, lawyers, embassies etc.
  • Arrive at "what seemed online to be an excellent hotel" and realise it's a hole with shared rooms or even shared bathrooms (It happens more than you think)!

  • Get drunk and wake up in the middle of nowhere in a foreign land with strangers around you (Again, it happens more than you think)!
  • Pull a "Fight Club" scene and get involved in a fight with locals and get your a** kicked waking up in the hospital with the police around you. As if that's not enough, imagine having to pay a fortune because you have no insurance.
  • Catch the wrong plane and arrive in Ungalik Thluk (Fyi, that's in Alaska) instead of the Maldives!

  • Lose your wallet with all your money, id, and other documents you were going to need for your flight back to your country.
  • Get erotically involved with someone you will never see again and get pregnant or even an STD.
  • Have the "luck" to experience a natural disaster such as tsunamis, hurricanes, or great storms when cruising.

Tell us if anything similar has already happened to you. We would be glad to read your funny or not so funny stories!

Volcanoes Around the World

Many years before, volcanic eruptions were thought to be the punishment of Gods. Nowadays, the reasons of a volcanic eruption are well known to the public.
This, of course, doesn't make their explosive effects less devastating.

Today, we are going to show you a list of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world!

Best Worldwide Airlines!

Based on a research brought to us by BusinessInsider, we are now able to let you know the best worldwide Airlines!

The research took into consideration the in-flight experience based on ratings for seat comfort, in-flight entertainment, cabin cleanliness and condition, quality of meals served, and service efficiency and time of departure and arrival! So, the results have been the following!

1. Singapore Airlines
As the rankings show, Singapore Airlines offers far and away the world's best economy experience.
Employees are trained to treat everyone with care and respect, and that makes all the difference.
Add in the fact that Singapore Airlines scored 100 for seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, and in-flight entertainment, and it's easy to see why it's number one.
2. Malaysia Airlines
Malaysia Airlines got perfect scores for seat comfort and service efficiency. It even banned children in some areas of its planes, though economy travelers will still risk having their seat backs kicked by toddlers.
Its main hub is located in Kuala Lumpur, and it operates flights all around the region.

3. Virgin America
Virgin America scored a 90 for its in-flight entertainment, and made Apple fans happy last year when it named one if its airplanes "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish," in honor of Steve Jobs.
It mainly operates long-haul flights from the east coast to the west coast of the U.S.

4. Asiana Airlines
Formerly known as Seoul Airlines, Asiana Airlines's hub is at Incheon International Airport, just outside the South Korean capital.
In 2012, it was named "Best Overall Airline In The World" by Business Traveler, but it comes in at number four on our list.

5. Qatar Airways
Qatar Airways earned perfect scores for seat comfort and service efficiency, and it offers free booze on international flights.
It operates a hub-and-spoke network of routes, and the Qatari government owns 50% of the airline.

6. Ana Airlines
ANA is Japan's largest airline, and the operator of the two Boeing Dreamliner planes whose battery systems failed in January, leading to the grounding of the jet.
The carrier did not receive a perfect score in any category, but its consistent high rankings earned it the number four spot on the list.

7. Garuda Indonesia
Garuda Indonesia got its highest score with a near-perfect 90 for seat comfort.
However, after it was deemed "unsafe," Garuda was banned from flying in European Union airspace between 2007 and 2009.
The majority of its destinations are in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

8. Silk Air
Silk Air scored highly in all categories except in-flight entertainment, where it got 60.
As the subsidiary of Singapore Airlines that operates shorter flights, its passengers aren't likely to care too much, especially since free alcohol is offered on international flights.

9. Korean Airlines
Korean Air, which flies to destinations in all six inhabited continents, had consistent ratings across all the categories, not scoring very high or very low in any.
Despite the fact that it owns a farm on which it raises its beef, its food scored a 70.

10. Air New Zealand
Air New Zealand had high rankings but its overall score was brought down by its mediocre reliability.
With an ad campaign that capitalizes on the popularity of the film The Hobbit, it offers service to Australia, the South Pacific, Asia, Europe, and North America.

Amusing double-meanings to cheer you up

In these depressing times of austerity, here is something to bring a smile to your face!

A pun is best described as a humorous message that exploits 2 words or expressions sounding the same with two different meanings (usually with 2 different spellings). Puns are in fact one of the great wonders of the English language.
For anyone who seeks to demonstrate the confusing nature of English words and phrases, these examples of funny and clever puns will likely serve your needs.
  1. 100% reliable contraception is inconceivable!
  2. Serious campers are intense.
  3. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana.
  4. Sports people can avoid the pain of defeat by wearing comfortable shoes.
  5. Nut screws washers and bolts. (Headline following a laundrerette sex crime)
  6. Poetry written upside-down is inverse; poetry of very few lines is universal.
  7. A girl who screamed and shouted for a pony got a little hoarse.
  8. The carpenter's heavy tools were uncomfortable so he got a little sore.
  9. Nuns generally wear plain colors because old habits never dye.
  10. The days of the pocket diary are numbered.
  11. Do hungry time-travellers ever go back four seconds?
  12. You can't beat a pickled egg.
We hope you like them and welcome your input.
