On Tuesday (12/15), Boeing's long-delayed first test flight of its new 787 Dreamliner took place in Everett, Wash. According to a Boeing statement after the flight, "[the event] marks the beginning of a flight test program that will see six airplanes flying nearly around the clock and around the globe, with the airplane's first delivery scheduled for fourth quarter 2010."
Originally, the first Dreamliners were to be delivered to Chinese airlines in time for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
