CBP to Unveil New Predator Maritime Variant

The San Diego Union Tribune reports that next week U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Office of Air and Marine will unveil its maritime variant (PDF) of the Predator B unmanned surveillance system (UAS). CBP will deploy the first of its sea-equipped drones, known as "Guardians", to the Caribbean and the second to the Gulf of Mexico.
