The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has expanded public access to its information on airport delays through an "Airport Status and Delays Web" tool available at www.data.gov. The service combines FAA information about ground delays, airport closures, ground stops and arrival or departure delays with local weather provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA.)
To view the information go to www.data.gov and select "Tool Catalog" and then check "Federal Aviation Administration" from the right-hand Search box, and click "Search".
From U.S. DOT:
"To advance the development of new and enhanced information products, the information will be provided in multiple formats so the data can be used in a variety of interactive Web applications, including those on mobile devices."
