Lebanese officials announced Sunday that the flight data recorders have been recovered from the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737-800 that crashed in the Mediterranean in January.
The information in the devices will hopefully shed some light on what happened to the flight because it is still not clear why the plane turned from the coarse Lebanese air traffic controllers suggested just after take-off. But in doing so the aircraft entered a severe thunderstorm, quickly disappeared from radar and went down.
