May 20, 2010 — Over the course of this summer the DHS is eliminating the use of the paper arrival/departure form (Form I-94W) for authorized travelers from nations participating in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will activate automated processing for U.S. airports on a rolling basis over the next several months. So, VWP travelers with an approved Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) will no longer need to file a Form I-94W. DHS says this will help streamline and secure travel for millions of visitors to the U.S.
