Car hire customers can now book rentals directly from their iPhone using the new Avis app, with the added benefit of using GPS to locate the nearest Avis location.
The new app enables iPhone users to search for vehicles, obtain quotes, book rentals, store user preferences, and locate nearest Avis locations.
Other rental companies to have released iPhone apps in the last few months include Europcar, Budget, Sixt and Hertz.
