Dec 10, 2010 — The AP is reporting about how the FAA's aircraft registry is in such disarray that there is key ownership information missing for about one-third of the 357,000 private and commercial planes in the U.S. Back in July the FAA took steps to fix its records when it published a new rule requiring the re-registration of all civil aircraft over the next three years and renewal every three years after that.
