Dec 2, 2010 — Indian aviation investigators have determined the cause of a nearly catastrophic midair plunge by an Air India Express flight this past May. India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation found that an inexperienced co-pilot was attempting to move his seat when he "inadvertently pressed the control column forward, causing the plane to do a 26-degree nose dive" reports ABC News. The pilot was in the lavatory at the time of the incident, but was able to reach the cabin in time to pull the plane out of the dive.
