Dec 3, 2010 — On Wednesday, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it has upgraded Mexico's aviation safety rating to a category 1, thus indicating that Mexico complies with international safety standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In July the U.S. had downgraded its southern neighbor to a category 2.
