Tupolev Tu-154: The USSR's Medium-Range Jet Airliner (Aerofax)
Dec 6, 2010 — On Saturday a Dagestan Airlines' Tupolev-154 flight that took off from Moscow's Vnukovo Airport crashed while making an emergency landing at another Moscow airport, Domodedovo.
Crash investigators say that the Tu-154 lost power in two of its three engines, forcing the pilot to make the emergency landing. Russia's RIA Novosti reports that while the country's aviation watchdog group, Rosaviatsia, looks into the cause of the accident that killed two and injured more than 80 others, it is not planning to suspend the operation of Tu-154 passenger planes.
