TSA to Monitor Insulated Drink Containers
Dec 24, 2010 — The Transportation Security Administration is now going to more closely scrutinize "insulated beverage containers" being carried by air travelers both in carry-on and in checked luggage. TSA says in the Q&A about the policy, that "[it] is carefully monitoring information related to terrorist tactics and working with our international partners to share information and security best practices." A spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration told Reuters on Friday that there is "no information related to any specific or imminent threat."

Dec 23, 2010 — The New Zealand Defense Force has released thousands of previously secret files about alleged UFO sightings. The documents cover the years 1952 to 2009. National Guard Helicopter Crashes off Puerto Rico
Dec 21, 2010 — A Puerto Rico National Guard helicopter carrying six people crashed in the waters off the northern coast of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico Monday night. The U.S. Coast Guard says it is assisting local emergency responders in the search for possible survivors.

Suspicious Bag Shuts Newark Airport Terminal
Dec 20, 2010 — Authorities closed a terminal at New Jersey's Newark International Airport for a about an hour Monday morning due to radiation detected coming from a piece of checked luggage. It is being reported that law enforcement officials say the terminal was reopened after they determined a computer in the bag in question was leaking a normal amount of radiation, and that it was not a threat.

FAA Flight Restrictions for Upcoming "VIP" Visit to Honolulu
Dec 14, 2010 — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Monday (12/13) issued a Flight Advisory(PDF) for an upcoming VIP visit to Honolulu, Hawaii. The FAA says that to ensure the airspace is secure during this visit, it will establish restrictions in the airspace over Honolulu. Because the FAA will declare Honolulu's airspace as "National Defense Airspace" it seems likely the "VIP" is President Obama.

Dec 10, 2010 — The AP is reporting about how the FAA's aircraft registry is in such disarray that there is key ownership information missing for about one-third of the 357,000 private and commercial planes in the U.S. Back in July the FAA took steps to fix its records when it published a new rule requiring the re-registration of all civil aircraft over the next three years and renewal every three years after that.

Spain's Air Traffic Controllers May Face Sedition Charges
Dec 9, 2010 — Spain's EITB reports that Spain's Attorney General, Candido Conde-Pumpido, said on Thursday that he intends to seek prison sentences of three to eight years for the more than one hundred air-traffic controllers who participated in the wildcat strike that closed Spanish air space last Friday and Saturday. The air traffic controllers' actions may be considered a crime of sedition under Spain's Criminal Law Procedure of Air Navigation.

This is an excellent opportunity to participate in the launch of a brand new concept for the property, formerly a well-established luxury hotel.
Our ideal candidate will have confirmed experience within top end Private and/or Royal Estates and/or Ambassador Residences managing the daily operations of a core team of 20 people minimum (up to 60 staff according to property occupancy) including F&B and house-keeping.

Chechen Wanted in NATO Plot Arrested at Vienna Airport
Dec 6, 2010 — It was reported over the weekend that Austrian authorities apprehended a Chechen man who was wanted in connection with an Islamist militant plot to attack NATO facilities in Belgium. Officials say the man who was picked up at the Vienna airport on December 1, is part of the same group of 10 people arrested in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany on November 23.
