Dec 24, 2010 — The Transportation Security Administration is now going to more closely scrutinize "insulated beverage containers" being carried by air travelers both in carry-on and in checked luggage. TSA says in the Q&A about the policy, that "[it] is carefully monitoring information related to terrorist tactics and working with our international partners to share information and security best practices." A spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration told Reuters on Friday that there is "no information related to any specific or imminent threat."

The FAA says that to ensure the airspace is secure during this visit, it will establish restrictions in the airspace over Honolulu. Because the FAA will declare Honolulu's airspace as "National Defense Airspace" it seems likely the "VIP" is President Obama.
